Artist Statement
Hannah Oram's performance centres around the concept of being present and absent at the same time. She recreates small drawings made in difficult locations and magnifies their impact with weights. The piece explores the erasure of sensory information for survival. Oram assembles and disassembles the work, revealing the difficulties involved.
