I start saying the phrase, ‘Fuck you, fuck me’ I repeat that phrase but every time laying up a bit of emotion and very slowly over the course of the performance, until a kind of crescendo about half way through when I am shouting very loudly and it is a very emotional moment. Then bring it back down to monotone. Removing strong emotions.
