Artist Statement
I limit my sensory information to touch alone by blind folding myself and wearing earplugs in order to amplify the sensitivity of my skin, feel fully present in my body and open my awareness to the presence of other unearthly beings that might be still present in a collection of bones. I will wear an apron and empty a bucket of muddy water out onto the floor (with a protective waterproof layer) and clean away dirt to uncover the remains of unidentified animals and embody an idea of their existence before laying them to rest in a bed of autumn leaves that I'll collect during the day.
